Polycarbonate Machine Guards Manufacturer
We offer transparent machine protective devices made of polycarbonate (PC). You can install them around the dangerous areas of the equipment for blocking chips, fragments, and coolant splashes. And they are as transparent as glass, so you can clearly see the internal operation of the equipment.
Our polycarbonate material is lightweight yet not brittle. Its weight is only half that of glass, and it is about 70% lighter than metal covers. Its impact-resistance strength is 200 to 250 times that of ordinary glass and 20 to 30 times that of acrylic sheets. Please contact our team to obtain the polycarbonate machine guards selection guide for you.
Polycarbonate Machine Guards by Adjusting Ways

Fixed PC machine guards are permanently fixed to the equipment using bolts or welding. Once installed. They will not move after you install. It is suitable for equipment parts such as high-speed rotating equipment, conveyor belt protection, etc.

Our interlocked guards are equipped with built-in safety sensors and a linkage system that integrates with the machine’s electrical control. As soon as the guard is opened, the machine immediately stops operating; it can only restart once the guard has been properly relocked.

Our adjustable guards can be positioned and height-adjusted according to your actual work requirements fully or partially. This ensures both safety protection and uninterrupted normal operation and maintenance of your equipment.

We use intelligent design, so you don’t need manual intervention. When you move the workpiece into the hazardous area, the guard automatically opens. Once the workpiece is removed, the guard automatically returns to its initial position.
Flexibility in Fabrication
If you provide us with CAD drawings or samples, we can carry out a complete set of processing services such as cutting, drilling, slotting, bending, bonding, and hot pressing for shaping according to your thickness requirements. Our professional team has many years of experience in processing and manufacturing. Our PC machine guards can have over 98% accuracy and are perfectly compatible with all your devices.

Safety and Compliance
Our polycarbonate machine guards strictly comply with relevant mechanical safety standards, including ISO 14120 and ISO 13857, the standard for safety distances in mechanical safety. And we can offer international certifications such as CE and UL. Whether you use them for the installation of new equipment or the renovation of old equipment, our polycarbonate machine guards can meet your safety compliance requirements.
Comprehensive Industrial Protection
Our PC machine guards are safe, visible, weather-resistant, and noise-reducing. They can adapt to various complex working conditions of yours. Our polycarbonate machine guards have excellent tolerance to common industrial chemicals such as oils and coolants.
And we can provide the UV coating on the surface that can filter 99% of ultraviolet radiation, so our products will not yellow or crack even after long-term outdoor use. You can achieve a noise reduction effect with our products; for example, 6 mm polycarbonate can reduce noise by approximately 29 dB.

Applications of Polycarbonate Machine Guards

Our polycarbonate machine guards have a smooth surface and are easy to clean, meeting food hygiene standards. They are transparent and visible for you to monitor the food processing process at any time. They are suitable for protecting equipment such as food packaging lines and beverage filling lines.

Our polycarbonate material is odorless and non-toxic, meeting medical-grade standards. Its resistance to cleaning agents has been verified through professional testing. Our products not only meet cleanliness requirements but also provide you with a clear observation view for pharmaceutical equipment and sterile production lines

You can use them in robot welding workstations, machining centers, and other places. Our products can withstand foreign objects flying out during high-speed operation. You can integrate interlock devices to achieve intelligent safety control.
Yes. We can add specific wavelength light-absorbing materials to create protective windows for specific laser wavelengths. These guards can shield against lasers ranging from ultraviolet to infrared (190-10600 nm). And compared with acrylic material, polycarbonate has a better heat distortion temperature of up to 135°C, so this material is suitable for high-energy laser processing environments.
But they are only suitable for not directly blocking the main beam. If you have a need for laser protection, please let us know the wavelength and power of your laser, and we will recommend the most suitable solution for you.
Under normal usage conditions, our polycarbonate machine guards can be used for several decades. If you choose a UV protection coating, the outdoor service life can reach 10 to 20 years. We will mark the production date and the recommended replacement period for each product.
Yes. Polycarbonate is lightweight and can be easily moved and installed by one person. We also support various installation methods, such as bolt fixation, bracket installation, frame embedding, etc. Whether for new equipment integration or retrofitting of old equipment, we can customize according to the size and installation position of your equipment and provide suitable installation brackets and accessories.
No. Our polycarbonate machine guards have a smooth and stain-resistant surface. You can clean them by using ordinary cleaning agents and a soft cloth. But you need to pay attention to two points:
- Do not use ammonia-based or alkaline cleaners (such as glass cleaner), because they may damage the surface of the PC.
- Do not clean with a hard brush or scraper to avoid scratching the surface.
These two materials have similar light transmittance, both approaching 90%, but PC is more durable than acrylic.
- Impact resistance: PC is 20 to 30 times more resistant to impact than acrylic. It won’t crack even when hit by a hammer, and metal shavings won’t penetrate it; while acrylic breaks easily and the fragments can be harmful.
- High temperature resistance: PC can withstand -40°C to 120°C, while acrylic deforms above 70 to 80°C.
- Flame retardancy: PC extinguishes the flame on its own and doesn’t produce toxic smoke; acrylic is flammable and has a high safety risk.
We provide common thickness ranges from 3 mm to 12 mm depending on your machine type, impact level, and safety requirements. Heavy-duty applications may require thicker guards.
In the automotive and mechanical fields, polycarbonate is often used as the material for windows and guards that come into contact with oil and coolant. But you should notice that polycarbonate is not suitable for environments with strong acids or strong bases. If your equipment is using special chemical media, please inform us in advance, and we will assess the material compatibility.
Yes. Our PC machine guards are designed in a modular way, and each panel can be independently disassembled and replaced. If one of the machine guards gets damaged, you just need to replace that one. This significantly reduces your maintenance costs.
