Your Safe and Durable Polycarbonate Sheet Solutions

  • Strong Impact Resistance & Durability
  • Lightweight for Easier Installation
  • Wide Range Temperature Stability & UV Protection

Zoycen Polycarbonate Glazing Panels

Polycarbonate glazing panels are architectural sheets manufactured from 100% virgin polycarbonate resin. The high light transmittance of our skylight panels provides natural lighting effects for many interior and roof designs, and they are often used in building facades, skylights, and awnings. To accommodate various design needs, we offer solid polycarbonate sheets, multiwall polycarbonate sheets, corrugated polycarbonate sheets, and other configurations.

The polycarbonate glazing panels provided by Zoycen offer high structural strength and flame retardancy, ensuring the security required for projects with stringent safety requirements, such as schools, hospitals, and public buildings.

To provide you with the best polycarbonate glazing panels, Zoycen maintains strict control over every stage of production, closely monitoring manufacturing processes. This ensures we can customize polycarbonate glazing panel solutions that best meet your project’s specific needs.

Solid Polycarbonate Sheets

We offer solid polycarbonate sheets that consist of a single layer. With impact resistance 250 times greater than that of ordinary glass, but weighing less than half as much, it is often found in safety barriers, protective shields, canopies, and security windows.

Multiwall Polycarbonate Sheets

The structure often consists of two to five layers, or seven-layer multiwall sheets, featuring light weight compared to other multi-layer structures. Their heat resistance and UV resistance make them a popular choice for greenhouse and glasshouse panels.

Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheets

These panels are often wave-shaped or ribbed, allowing them to adapt to the shape of the roof, and they offer up to 85% light transmission; this makes them widely used roofing panels for commercial buildings.

High Impact Resistant for Durability

It is more impact-resistant than traditional glass and is a durable and tough material. If you plan to use polycarbonate glazing panels for outdoor canopies or skylights, their impact resistance allows them to withstand heavy rain, hail, and snow loads. Even if they break, they do not shatter into sharp shards like glass, which can pose safety hazards. These safety features are where glass simply cannot compete. When used in locations with high safety requirements, such as schools and shopping malls, polycarbonate glazing panels are your top choice.

Lightweight Design for Simple Installation

Due to the outstanding combination of light weight and high strength, polycarbonate glazing panels have gradually become the material of choice for terraces and transparent roofs. Installation of these panels involves working at heights, which can be quite challenging. However, our glazing panels are lightweight, which in practice greatly reduces the inconvenience of handling and moving them, thus improving installation efficiency and saving you a lot of installation costs.

Stable Performance Under Extreme Temperatures & UV Resistance

The polycarbonate glazing panels provided by Zoycen not only remain almost deformation-free over the temperature range of -40 to 120°C and readily accommodate thermal expansion and contraction, but also provide effective insulation against high outdoor temperatures. For example, when used in greenhouses, the thermal insulation properties of these polycarbonate glazing panels help regulate the greenhouse temperature, and their UV protection helps mitigate the effects of excessive ultraviolet radiation on people inside or on the greenhouse plants.

What Thickness Polycarbonate Glazing Panels Should I Use for A Roof?

Thickness depends on the structure of the material. For standard awnings or carports, 6mm to 10mm-thick solid polycarbonate sheets or double-layer polycarbonate sheets (hollow-core sheets) are generally used.

If you are designing a sunroom or skylight, you can choose 12mm to 16mm multi-wall polycarbonate sheets. Thicker sheets provide better thermal insulation and wind resistance.

20–25 mm sheets are typically used in gymnasiums, airports, and industrial plants, while 32–40 mm sheets are used for skylights with large spans.

What Can Damage Polycarbonate Glazing Panels?

Polycarbonate glazing panels are prone to damage from UV aging, chemical corrosion, sharp scratches, and deformation caused by high temperatures. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause them to yellow and become brittle. Contact with strong acids, strong alkalis, ketones, and cleaning agents containing organic solvents can cause them to crack or dissolve. Friction from hard particles or contact with sharp objects can cause scratches. Although polycarbonate glazing panels are heat-resistant, prolonged exposure to temperatures above 120°C can cause them to soften and deform.

What Are the Applications of Multiwall Polycarbonate Glazing Panels with Different Layers?

Two- or three-layer structures can block UV rays while maintaining good light transmission and are often used in greenhouses and sunrooms to reduce heat loss.

Due to their excellent thermal insulation and soundproofing properties, three- and four-layer structures are commonly used on the exterior facades of commercial buildings and for highway noise barriers. Five- and seven-layer structures are primarily used for roofs that need to withstand snow loads or for long-span roofs.

Do Polycarbonate Glazing Panels Need Special Maintenance?

For routine cleaning, a soft cloth and a neutral detergent are generally sufficient. However, avoid using abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the UV-protective coating on polycarbonate glazing panels. In addition, because the surface hardness of polycarbonate is lower than that of glass, friction from sand and dust or cleaning with a stiff brush may cause scratches.

Thanks to their excellent performance and cost-effectiveness, polycarbonate glazing panels have become the preferred material in most industries. By customizing a polycarbonate glazing panel product from Zoycen, you can make your project more efficient and achieve better results. Contact us today to submit an inquiry!
